Petzl Grigri 2 Belay Device

The Petzl Grigri 2 Belay Device features assisted braking for use with single dynamic climbing rope, ideal for sport climbing and top roping as it arrests a fall very quickly.

The Petzl Grigri 2 Belay Device is 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the original Petzl Grigri, and works in the same way as any belay device in that the belayer always has one hand on the free end of the rope. During a fall the belayer holds the free end causing the cam to pivot and pinch the rope, increasing the braking action and bringing the climber to a stop, this process happens incredibly quickly during a fall.
