Our Whitwell store is the main Outdoor Store location, However Normanton and Grafham have some sections of the outdoor range also on display.

Rutland Cycling opened its second branch in 1986 in the Normanton car park at Rutland Water.  The Normanton shop doubled in size in 2000 to cope with the ever increasing demand for cycle hire and sales. The shop stayed this way until May 2010 when our exciting new Giant concept store opened.

The Giant concept store aims to offer consumers a whole new cycling experience. Set in the tranquil lakeside surroundings of Normanton, on the south shore of Rutland Water, Giant’s fifth Brand Store is the perfect place to begin enjoying life by bike.

The Giant store covers six thousand square feet, offers something for all, whether experienced cyclists or budding enthusiast, and it’s all about giving it a go - if you are not certain we actively encourage all customers to demo or a hire a bicycle. A small range of outdoor related products can also be found in the store from Icebreaker base layers to sturdy Meindl walking boot. With the complete Giant range on show and a wide range of hire bicycles there’s a weekend of adventure waiting for everyone at Normanton.

The Normanton shop is located at the back of the car park on the right hand side. Normanton is on the South Shore of Rutland Water. The entrance to this Car Park is sign posted from the A606 and the A6003 and is between Oakham and Stamford. The A1 is approximately 7 miles away and Rutland Water is sign posted from the A1.
